Welcome to my nightmare
Where nothing feels like it belongs
Where you fear for the next moment
While you stand in the midst of the shadow
You never feel like you're good enough
There's always something wrong
You're trapped in this place
And you jus can't see the light
People always yelling at you
Criticizing every action you make
The voices replay in your head
Only to create a much lower self-esteem
You can't wake from this place
Even though you wish you could
You're here forever, from not til death
Or so it seems that way
Then one day you see him
And by him, a glim light shines
He reaches for your hand
But you still need some time
Slowly you begin to fall for him
With all the words he says
He makes you feel like you mean something
Like you finally belong somewhere
Some people say your asking for trouble
Others could really give a damn
You could care less what they think though
Because now he's all you think about
You don't want to fall too fast
But you know when you fo you'll fall hard
You open your eyes wider now
Not to see the midst of the shadow
With your eyes opened wider
You see the light
You see a place you belong
And you finally see... A world of happiness.
